Our 1st 5K

Let's see . . . how did it all start? After I had Noah I decided that I wanted to get exercising to lose all the baby weight. I decided that training for a 5K (3.1 miles) would be a good way to make me exercise. Well let's just say it gave me a little motivation, but not nearly enough. Devin & I trained a little bit, but we never even got to the point of running 3.1 miles. Before we knew it race day was here. We had a goal of running it in 30 minutes and running without stopping. We both pushed it and finished without stopping; however we were 1 min 40 seconds shy of our goal. We have both lost weight and inches so that was definately worth it. I actually have lost 28 lbs in 3 months, but I still have some pounds to lose so our next 5K will be in March. This time we are going to train harder and make it in under 30 minutes. Wish us luck!

That is awesome. I wish the weather was as nice here so that we could run a 5K outside. Wish I could have done it with you guys. Love ya!!

way to go... when I can start working out again I would love to get back into shape. maybe someday I will have to try a 5K run.

Way to go!! That's awsome! I am still sitting on my tushy just praying my baby poundage will disappear on it's own! :) A girl can dream can't she!
